If a child is in immediate danger, call 999.
If you are concerned that a child in Suffolk may be at risk of harm, contact Suffolk Customer First on 0808 800 4005 or follow Suffolk County Council’s safeguarding reporting guidance. Do not wait for a school response if a child may be at risk.
The school’s Designated Safeguarding Lead, deputy and direct contact details are being finalised ahead of opening. The general enquiries inbox is not an emergency safeguarding service.
Safeguarding underpins our preparations for opening. This includes safer recruitment, staff training, child protection, attendance, online safety, reporting concerns and working with statutory agencies.
Children’s communication, sensory and learning needs must be understood so that they can ask for help and be heard. Trusted adults, accessible communication and regular opportunities to share worries are central to our approach.
Listen carefully, take concerns seriously and use the appropriate reporting route. Avoid promising secrecy or investigating a disclosure yourself.
The safeguarding and child protection policy is available on our Policies page, where its current approval status is shown.
