About Mere Valley School
A calm place to learn, grow and prepare for adulthood
Mere Valley School is an independent special school at Brome Grange, Suffolk, preparing for registration. Opening and placements are subject to registration.
We are developing a small, supportive learning community for young people with special educational needs and disabilities, including autism, social, emotional and mental health needs, and speech, language and communication needs.

Every learner should feel safe, understood and valued, believe in their own potential, and develop the knowledge, confidence and practical skills for a meaningful adult life.
Learning with purpose
Our approach combines ambitious teaching, trusted relationships and practical experiences. Individual strengths, interests and EHCP outcomes guide learning, with predictable routines and support for communication, sensory and learning needs.
Through the Skills Hub and enterprise projects, learners will apply English, mathematics, digital and social skills to everyday tasks.
Working with families
Families should feel informed, heard and involved. We will plan transitions together, agree communication needs and review progress with learners, families, professionals and the placing local authority.
